Private Lessons
Hands-On Coaching. Real Progress
Private lessons at The Dog Works are designed for owners who want to be actively involved in their dog’s training — with professional guidance, structure, and accountability.
This isn’t casual drop-in training. It’s a clear, coached process that builds skills you can confidently maintain in everyday life.
Who Private Lessons are for
Private Lessons are a great fit if you:
→ Want to understand how and why training works
→ Have time to practice consistently between sessions
→ Prefer coaching over sending your dog away
→ Want flexibility while still following a structured plan
Private lessons work for dogs of all ages — the system stays the same, the pace adapts.
The Training Path
How Private Lessons work- a guided, structured approach
Step 1 | Free in-home Consultation
We evaluate your dog’s temperament, history, environment, and goals — then determine whether private lessons are the right format.
Step 2 | Customized Lesson Plan
You’ll receive a clear plan outlining lesson frequency, goals, and what to practice between sessions.
Step 3 | Coaching & Practice
Each session builds on the last, combining hands-on instruction, real-life scenarios, and clear homework.
Step 4 | Confidence & Practice
As skills improve, we focus on reliability, proofing, and long-term consistency.
