With over 15 years of professional dog-training experience, founder Schylar Postle was trained under one of the country’s most respected programs at The Tom Rose School in St. Louis.

From earning her first obedience title at age eight to leading high-volume, professional training operations, Schylar’s career has been defined by structure, accountability, and results. She has worked with thousands of dogs across a wide range of temperaments and behavioral challenges, always with the same expectation: clear communication produces reliable dogs.

    During in-home sessions, we focused on foundational skills like sitting, down, greeting, and addressing early behavioral issues. When Louie stayed for training, he refined his skills and learned clear manners — including holding a down position even when the leash was dropped and responding reliably when called.

    We added an Australian Shepherd to our family three years ago and by six months old she had become extremely reactive — even something as simple as a leaf blowing in the air would set her off. At one point, she began herding our five-year-old, which was the final sign we needed professional help.

    After trying other trainers without success, we contacted STL Dog Works with cautious optimism. The results were incredible. Our puppy returned home after two weeks a changed dog. Not only was she better trained, but we were trained as well — which made all the difference in maintaining her progress.
